Delaney’s Deli
Back in the day, the area around Belmar was dominated by the Villa Italia mall, where the best meal was probably found at the Orange Julius.
These days, Belmar shoppers have much better options, including The Oven Pizza e Vino, Virgilio’s (just across Wads worth, next to King Soopers) and the Baker Street Pub.
But if you’re in a rush, like most of us, and also on a budget, like most of us, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better lunch in the area than a pulled pork sandwich with a side of hot, salty homemade chips or shoestring fries ordered at the counter at Delaney’s Deli. Soft, meaty and filling, this quick, delicious, no-brainer lunch (good enough to forgive the obvious fact that the owners are Red Sox fans) calls for a shot of hot sauce and a side of clam chowder.
